Is it me or was the opening a pantheist wetdream? Can anyone explain the Gandalf staff moment to me? What I know now about Canada is this- who cares about the people, it’s nature that counts.
Also, was the chubby white guy rapping or being a poet? Genteel? Yeah, Canadians are genteel. Genteel to extinction. Last night’s opening made me miss China’s Disney-like homage to the state over individualism. Though any event that has Bryan Adams and Nelly Furtado lipsynching can’t be all bad. There is the humor value.

You forgot the girl with the IPOD when they were doing the discovery of Canada. Or how about the Coke Polar Bear, other then that yeah you covered it pretty well.
